Volunteer - Beginning Service - Notes

ORIENTATION

Each volunteer must complete orientation. The coordinator will interview the new volunteer. Policies and procedures will be discussed then.

UNIFORM

  • A name tag – even if it is an adhesive type until permanent tags are made.
  • A smile
  • A positive attitude
  • A Green House smock

SIGN IN PROCEDURES

Each volunteer must sign in and out for each shift worked. Hours will be recorded. There will be a sign-in sheet in the volunteer area. If you cannot fulfill your shift duties, please call the coordinator and we will try to replace you for that day. Please click here for contact information.

TELEPHONE USAGE

Company telephones are for the purpose of conducting Company business. The volunteers generally should not use the phone. If a volunteer must make personal calls, they should be brief and limited in number. Emergency telephone calls, of course, would be viewed as exceptions to this limitation.

PARKING

Please be sure to park in spaces that are furthest away so patients have the option to be near the door.
